We are not just a parochial school, but a ministry of the St. Hubert Catholic Community.
We are proud of our success at St. Hubert Catholic School. As a parish school, we work in partnership with the church to practice and live our school mission “to teach as Jesus did.”
We are blessed with a fantastic faculty and staff who genuinely care for the spiritual, academic, social and emotional needs of each and every one of our students – nurturing the whole child! Yet, we couldn’t do it without the help of terrific parents, who are the primary educators of their children. We believe that as educators, we must work in partnership. Together, it is our goal to raise faith-filled, respectful, and responsible students.
Just as importantly, we have amazing students! At St. Hubert Catholic School, we provide a rich and stimulating environment for students to grow, both inside and outside the classroom. We offer numerous student opportunities to participate in extra-curricular activities and take part in Community Service and Leadership Projects.
We hope you will come to visit St. Hubert Catholic School and see first-hand why the St. Hubert Catholic School Community is truly a wonderful place!
As a Catholic school we believe that the mission of our church includes word, worship, and service.
We live out the mission of the word by reading and sharing the Good News in the scriptures. We live out the mission of worship as we prepare and participate in weekly liturgies and communal prayer. We live out the mission of service as we serve one another.
WEEKLY MASS
Our students are actively involved in our weekly school Mass celebrated on Wednesday’s. Mass planning is rotated throughout the homerooms in each grade so that everyone has a chance to participate in all aspects of the Mass. Students are also involved in the music planning and singing. Our kindergarten students are mentored by their older student buddies who sit with them through Mass each Wednesday and model the respect and importance of solemn prayer. Our weekly Mass is a great opportunity for each child to celebrate and profess their faith as well as share their God given talents.
FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN
Feed My Starving Children is an organization that is dedicated to feeding God’s starving children who are hungry in body and spirit. Students are provided the opportunity to help the Feed My Starving Children organization, and gain a greater understanding of the following Catholic social teachings: option for the poor, rights and responsibilities, and common good and community.
It’ is our hope that by providing students with this community service trip, it will inspire them to continue serving God’s people and making a difference in our world.
PROP
As part of our effort to make our students more aware of social justice issues affecting people in our area, St. Hubert Catholic School students focus their efforts on PROP (People Reaching Out to Other People). Once a month, one class has the opportunity to take the donations directly to PROP, take a tour, learn about the organization and then weigh and sort the food items they bring. Fortunately, St. Hubert Catholic School’s partnership with PROP reaches out to the whole parish/school community, staff, and students as donations are brought in each week at the school Mass and one weekend a month for the Parish.
SUMMERWOOD
SummerWood is a senior living campus (55 & older) with apartments for Independent, Assisted Living & Memory Care. Each of the St. Hubert Catholic School fourth grade classrooms visits in the assisted living building three to four times a year. Visits might include bingo, Mexican train dominoes, exercise or just visiting with the residents. Also, several of our band and choir small ensemble groups perform for the residents throughout the year.
